Janie helps clients with general and employment contracts, vendor contracts, as well as joint ventures, start-ups and dissolution of entities; admission and exit of members, shareholders, and partners in various business entities as well as trademark matters. Janie represents myriad of healthcare providers including physicians, physician groups, clinical laboratories, hospitals, surgery centers, and other healthcare providers regarding a variety of healthcare-related issues. Janie advises the firm’s healthcare provider clients on matters such as recruitment and employment matters; federal anti-kickback, Stark, HIPAA, fraud and abuse, provider enrollment issues, civil monetary penalties, billing compliance matters, and other regulatory compliance matters. Janie advises the firm’s healthcare provider clients on Medicare and Medicaid issues including reimbursement and recoupment matters, as well as voluntary refund matters and other various healthcare-related issues. Janie has presented client-education seminars on HIPAA and Sexual Harassment. Janie has represented clients before Ohio and Kentucky state agencies in matters related to Medicare and Medicaid issues. Prior to entering the practice of law, Janie resolved disputes for a major automobile manufacturer and managed national accounts for a national uniform company.
